On Treating Migraines

Migraines are one of the most common ailments I treat, and if there's one thing that's taught me, it's that each person's particular migraine is very different from every other's. It's been a clear lesson that it's best to get to know each individual as well as I can--I help patients find hugely more relief from their headaches and migraines when I know how to tailor each treatment to who they uniquely are, in body and in habit.

Acupuncture and tuina bodywork work well together in regulating circulation in the brain, soothing tense muscles that contribute to head pain, and in harmonizing the body's energetic channels so that migraines reduce from often, to sometimes, and to none at all. Herbal medicine is a great complementary therapy as well, which offers non-pharmaceutical (and with less or no side effects) options for treatment at home.

I've had my own bouts with migraines and headaches, and I love helping relieve others of that particularly pressing type of pain. Call or text 520-609-8488, or click the link above to schedule online.
