Morning Routine Tip

Part of my morning routine with my two-year-old is drinking a mug of warm water with a bit of lemon juice. This is partly inspired by working with Amita Ayurveda and partly by studying pediatric Traditional East Asian Medicine, which often places the health of the digestive system as prime in importance for kids' health.

Not only is it a pleasant, soothing way to start the day (important for both a toddler, and a parent of a toddler), but the drink is supportive of both our stomachs and livers. Of course, I'm happy to practice acupuncture on both myself and my child, and on my patients as well, if we all need a little extra support beyond what some warm lemon water can offer.
