Reflecting on Pride
Pride Month has had me thinking of Queer Yoga North and how they've inspired me to do more with my own practice, both in yoga and in how I help others with traditional medicine.
I first met Mookaite in Chiang Mai, but we've kept in touch since we've gone on to different parts of the world and I always value their compassion and insights when we write and talk to each other.
The yoga pose I picked for this photo--the lower half of gomukhasana--is definitely not one of my strongest, but in watching Mookaite develop their self and grow their yoga practice, I feel inspired to turn to work on the places I most need to, rather than where it's just easiest. And in my own practice, I've been inspired by Mookaite's work in their community to create better access to yoga to their local queer community in Middlesbrough, and aspire to do the same with acupuncture in Tucson.
I'd love to talk with you about any issues you might have, or introduce you to acupuncture with a half-hour mini treatment! Call or text 520-609-8488 to schedule, or click on the link above.
